Fabulous little hat from the 1940s. This is a really neat little piece. Made from black straw it has a pleated grosgrain layer on the top which is then finished off with a cluster of fabric flowers in apricot and cream. Underneath there are two wide grosgrain ribbons so you can secure the hat to your head.

The beauty of this hat is that, because it sits on the top of your head, it is one size fits all. The hat itself measures;

Condition
Structurally it is in very good condition but there are a couple of small points to note;
- the pleated grosgrain is slightly discoloured. It isn't noticeable unless you look into the folds
- the flowers are a little grubby in places and a little crumpled
