This is such a beautiful hat and the photos really aren't doing it justice.

Made in the 1950's and labelled "Libye Diamond" it is made from velvet in a warm red. A close fitting piece, it has a leaf applique detail on the left side which is decorated with glass bugle beads. 

A classic piece in a hard to find shade.

 

Measurements

Because of the shape of the piece it will work on up to a 23" head

Width from side to side 14.5"

Front to back 8"

 

Condition

Good with points to note;

- there are 4 small black marks on the hat, see photos

- there is a 2mm hole in the front. Looks like someone may have been pinned there at some point

- minor wear on the inner band
