This is an absolutely outstanding 1940s hat.
Made by Alice May, 5th Avenue, New York it is made from warm navy blue felt and is designed to sit on the right side of your head, tilted to one side.
A close fitting crown it has a huge pleated brim and a tassel in the front. It comes with a matching hatpin to help keep it in place.

It needs to fit fully on your head and will fit up to a 22.5" head, as per the label

Condition
Very good with minor points to note;
- there are some marks on the inner grosgrain band but these aren't seen when worn
- there are some small holes on the inner lining - not seen when worn
