This piece has been recently knitted, and pre-worn, from an original 1940s pattern. It came to me from a re-enactor with a collection of pieces which had been much loved and this piece had been knitted for her.
I don't know the fiber content but it feels like a wool/acrylic mix and it is slightly fuzzy and fluffy in places which could be due to wear but could also be due to the type of wool used.
Although the pattern this was knitted from was a gents pattern, it works just as well for a lady and because it is longer in length it would look great belted.
Measurements
This will fit a 36"/38" chest but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 18" stretching to 19"
Flat waist 16"
Shoulders edge to edge 16"
Shoulder to hem 22"
Underarm to waist 15"
Condition
Good but it does show some minor signs of wear/fluffing, which is reflected in the price.
