This is a lovely example of an original 1950s knit.
Made from very fine wool, it has been knitted beautifully in seven pretty shades with a delightful roses intarsia detail across the sleeve heads and front and back yoke. It fastens down the back with pretty little buttons.
A wonderful piece of original knitwear.

It will best fit up to a 36" bust but to ensure this will fit you, please compare the measurements below to a similar garment you already own;

Condition
Good vintage with some points to note;
- the rib on the sleeves and the bottom of the knit are slightly darker wool than the yoke - obviously made use of what they had to hand
- there are some old darns, most are invisible and only seen from the inside but there are some which can be seen from the outside including one of the front collar and three in the main body of the back
- the intarsia work is a little fuzzy
- some felting under the arms
The knit has been frozen for 72 hours to ensure it is moth free and has been carefully washed in wool detergent and is fresh and ready to wear.
