Rare 1920s/1930s Dickins & Jones knit dress.
The colour on this is divine, a sort of soft lavender with two tone collar, cuffs, sleeve edges and modesty panel. The upper back section is lined with cotton, the rest of the knit is unlined. No side fastenings, it’s a loose fit and not meant to close fitting at all. Just one popper on the modesty panel. Made by Dickins & Jones it is an iconic piece in a really hard to find colourway and in very good condition.
Measurements
As said above, this isn’t meant to be close fitting. The measurements below are flat measurements but it is best suited for up to a 36-28-36. It is shown on a 33” bust and is a bit too large.

Condition
Very good, with some minor points to note. The knit is strong and wearable, it isn’t fragile. Issues to note;
-there are 3 darns on the back, see photos
-a darn in the front skirt, 3” up from hem, see photo
-2 faint marks on the back skirt, 6” and 8” up from hem, see photo
-a couple of minor pulls on the lining, not seen when worn
