Please be aware that this piece isn't in perfect condition and has been well worn. If you are looking for perfection then this piece isn't for you.
Made in the 1930's, this beautiful bed-jacket is made from the palest satin which has a wonderful drape. Lovely full sleeves it is trimmed with machine made lace and is an edge to edge design with no fastenings.
Although this piece was originally intended to be worn in bed, it would make a great bolero to wear over a sleeveless summer dress.
Measurements
This piece isn't meant to be close fitting and will work on up to a 36" bust.
Flat bust 19"
Neck to hem 17"
Underarm to waist 8.5"
Condition
Fair but wearable. This piece is not in perfect condition and has a lot of wear but it still presents well and is perfect for the true vintage lover who is happy to give a home to a wounded piece. Please note the following;
- there are some light brown marks on close inspection
- there are some "scuff" marks to the satin on the right bodice and the back. I'm not sure whether they are wear to the fabric or whether someone has spilt something on the piece at some point
- when held up to the light there are a number of pinholes and 3 pinhead holes
Still a really charming piece which has been priced accordingly.
