Please note this piece is pale pink, NOT the peach that the photos are showing it to be. I don't know why but the camera isn't picking up the true colour.
Made in the late 1940's or early 1950's and labelled "Beauty Maid for Beauty" it is made from lightweight cotton with 6 sections of boning and sections of thick, strong elastic. The top of the cups are lace and the entire top hem has a teeny row of machine made lace. The piece fastens down the front with 9 silver-tone hooks.
A beautifully made piece, this foundation wear will help to give you the iconic silhouette of the era.
Measurements
It is labelled 32 but is shown on a 33" bust mannequin and there is a bit of fullness left in the cup so will work on up to a 34" bust.
Top of the cup to the hem 10.5"
The waist is 26" but will comfortably stretch to 27"
Bra's are notoriously difficult to measure so please get in contact if you want any further measurements.
Condition
Beautiful. Structurally no issues and the elastic is crisp and still has full stretch - I don't think this piece has been worn much, if at all. The only minor point to note is that there are a few small spots - see photos
