This fabulous little black dress is a great wardrobe staple for a vintage lover.
Made in the 1950's from inky black taffeta it has a close fitting bodice and very slim fitting skirt. The collar is oversized and there are two large drapes in the front of the skirt giving the illusion of a much fuller skirt when viewed from the front. The back is more of a wiggle dress. It has a metal side zip.
Black dresses are so difficult to photograph and this looks much better in real life.

Good with some minor points to note;
- the sleeves have been taken in slightly, not a fault but a point to note, and this is only seen on the inside
- most minor iron shine in a few places as so often happens with taffeta
- on the front of the skirt, hidden by the drapes, there are some stitch marks visible
