This antique Victorian muff bag is made from real fur.
Silver-tone frame with a smart clasp, it has a fur covered handle and the back of the bag is a muff. Originally it would have been lockable on the clasp.
It comes with a little coin purse. I don't know whether they were made as a matching pair because the purse frame is a different colour from the bag frame but they came to me together so I'm selling them as a pair.
Measurements
Purse is 2 3/4" long, 1 3/4" high and 3/4" deep
Bag is 11" at the widest point, 7.5" high and 12 1/2" if you include the handle
Condition
Looks great but there are some points to note;
- the purse has wear on the inner and slight rub to the fur
- bag has slight dullness to the frame on the side edges
- the lining of the muff is detached
- some wear and shattering on the inner lining
- no key, although the clasp still works perfectly well
Would be perfect for steam punk.
