This beautiful bag was made in 1920's.
Made from black cotton it is covered, on both sides, with a floral design worked in ivory coloured silk thread. It is fully lined and fastens at the top with a chunky metal zip and has two handles made from twisted silk thread.
Most likely a tourist piece.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- there is a small 8mm fray on the side of the bag
- rust marks on the top right which are dark
- scattered rust marks which are harder to spot unless looking for them
- some scuffs to the silk in places
