An utterly charming beaded evening bag in a good size.
Made in France in the 1940s or 1950s, the bead work is a mixture of white and cream glass beads worked in a foliate design which is edged with bronze coloured beads and with faux pearl bead accents. It has a gold tone frame and is lined with cream satin and still has the original mirror.
A quality piece which has been beautifully made.

Condition
Very good with minor points to note;
- there are some minor rust marks on the inner. When the bag came to me it had hair grips clipped to the inner pocket and they have, sadly, marked the fabric
- some slight verdigris on one edge of the frame
- there are a couple of faux pearls missing on the back of the bag
- most of the faux pearls have lost their lustre
