This incredible set was made in the 1950's and is labelled The Dale Fox Shop California.
The dress is made from artificial silk and features a wonderful Greek themed print in autumnal shades on a cream base. The piece is close fitting with a hip skimming skirt, short sleeves and comes with the original belt. It fastens down the back with a long metal zip.
The coat is made from linen and is fully lined, apart from the sleeves, in the same fabric as the dress. It is an edge to edge design with button trimmed three-quarter length sleeves and the coat has deep side vents at the hem.
A truly glorious example of it's time that is far better in person than in the photos.

Condition
Very good. Only the following minor points to note;
- two very faint pinhead marks on the coat
- when held up to the light there are 6 pinholes in the dress
- two teeny marks on the front of the dress, in the skirt
