This dress is utterly fabulous!
Made in the 1940's it is made from dark grey crepe and features a bold floral print in pink, white and mustard. The dress has a close fitting bodice with scalloped neckline and sleeve openings. It has fine shirring on the front yokes and fastens down the back and left side with metal zippers. It is finished off perfectly with a neat peplum.
A fabulous example of 1940's shaping.

Condition
Has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear with the following minor points to note;
- minor repairs to each front corner of the neck opening
- smallest amount of seam stress on the waist seams in the back
- a faint mark on the left bodice by the underarm, so faint it won't photograph
- minor underarm discolouration
- in some lights, on the back left bodice at shoulder blade height, there is a small area of lattice work marking - looks like the dress has been stored pressed up against something that shape - see final photo
