This fabulous piece was made in the 1920's.
Made from semi sheer cotton lawn (so you'll near to wear a slip or under-dress), it has a white base with stylised floral print, in two tone pink, set out in a geometric pattern. It features white piped shoulder detail along the top seam and the neckline is trimmed with white binding. The front has 4 fabulously full layers of gathered ruffles and the back has a faux tie belt.
A typical design of the time, it is loose fitting and is just perfect for summer.
Measurements
The dress will comfortably fit up to a 46" bust. Please remember it is not meant to be close fitting so although the flat measurements make it appear that the dress will fit larger, it really is best for a 46" bust maximum. Please also make sure the sleeve openings will work for you as they are quite small. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 26"
Flat waist 24"
Flat hip 28"
Shoulder to hem 40.5"
Shoulders will work for up to a 17"
Circumference of dress at hem 60"
Condition
Very good. Has been washed, pressed and is ready to wear with the following minor points to note;
- there is a very small area of faint discolouration on the left bodice - it can only be seen in some lights and is too faint to pick up on camera
- down the centre front there is evidence, in the form of teeny pinholes, that there were once buttons down the front
