This beautiful dress was made in the 1930's.
Made from wonderfully soft crepe, in a rich shade of burgundy, it has an intricate print worked in cream and soft green.
It features a close fitting bodice with asymmetrical fastening. It has slim fitting sleeves with intricate seaming detail and decorative button detail on the lower arm. The skirt is slim fitting with typical deco seaming in the seat, although it has been hard to show this detail in the photographs. Finished off perfectly with the original belt, which has a burgundy plastic buckle.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- there is a 1" repair under one arm on the sleeve, but only seen on close inspection
- very slight colour change across the shoulders, but this is only seen in certain lights
- three small thins in the skirt, but they are only seen when you hold a single layer of the fabric up to the light. They are not holes, only thins and darning them would make them more obvious
