This fabulous day dress was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
A home sewn piece it features a button front bodice with vibrant green buttons, has a double collar, neat turn back cuffs and a wonderfully swishy skirt! The fabric is glorious and is beige lightweight cotton with stripes of openwork circles and adorable little bows worked in bright green.
Would look amazing worn with a large sunhat and is just perfect for the summer!

Condition
Washed, pressed and ready to wear with the following points to note;
- the dress has been made with fabric which differs, very slightly, in colour. The front skirt is a very slightly different colour to the back and there is slight colour variation with other pieces. It isn't fade because the colour change swaps over on the seams.
- there is some discolouration on the back bodice - the dress has been soaked in Retro Clean twice and lots of discolouration came out but the rest is there to stay
- a 1" circle of discolouration on the right collar
- slight discolouration on the inner collar - I'm assuming it is sun cream because it didn't move when soaked
The colour change is subtle and the dress is still utterly fabulous!
