This wonderfully vibrant dress was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
Made from textured cotton, which feels like brushed cotton but is cool to the touch, it has a bright blue base with a bold floral and stripe print worked in white and highlight detail worked black.
It has a close fitting bodice which fastens with pairs of buttons, a metal side zip, neat accent cuffs and a broadly pleated skirt.
The fabric has been cleverly cut and used in different directions to highlight the details of the dress.
