This fabulous evening dress was made in the 1940's.
Made from artificial silk in bronzed maroon, it has a close fitting, fully lined, boned bodice which features crossover detail in the bust and fastens down the back with a metal zip. The skirt is hip skimming and features fabulously full drapes in the back!
Measurements
The dress will fit up to a 36-26-40 but to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Bust 36" - the dress is shown on a 35" mannequin and is a little too big
Waist - 26" measured all around the inside waist
Flat hips 21"
Underarm to waist 7"
From of v-neck to waist 9"
Waist to hem 42"
Circumference of skirt at hem 116"
Condition
Structurally very good with the following points to note;
- there is some discolouration on the lining of the bodice - not seen when worn
- there is discolouration to the right side of the bodice, on an entire panel of the piece - see photo
