This stunning set was made in the 1940's and is labelled Meera Brooke Original.
Made from smooth weave, cold to the touch crepe it is a three part set featuring a dress, belt and cropped jacket with an abstract squiggle print throughout.
The dress has open-work detail in the front neck, has shoulder pads to give you the iconic silhouette of the era, fastens down the left side with a metal zip and has a white bodice with the design worked in blue and then the skirt is the reverse colourway.
The cropped jacket has double fabric thickness in the front to help keep the shape, has three-quarter length sleeves and neat little cuffs.
Finished off perfectly with the original belt, it is an amazing ensemble in a hard to fine larger size.

Condition
Very good. Has been washed, pressed and ready to wear with the following points to note;
- a nibble to the fabric beside the zip
- two small areas of colour transfer where the blue has gone onto the white - both are in the back and appear either side of the bodice, see photo
