This pretty piece was made in the 1950's.
Made from taffeta it has a teeny check print in blue, black and white and in some lights the blue is more vibrant than in others and the fabric has a delightful sheen.
With a smooth fitting bodice and a very high neckline it has a neat tie in the back neck. The skirt is fabulously full and it has a vibrant red net petticoat underneath. It fastens down the back with a 21" metal zip.
Would look great with a really full petticoat and makes a delightful swishing sound as you move.
