This piece was made in the 1950's by Candy Jones of California.

Made from medium weight cotton in an orangey red it features a check design in brown, silver grey and soft mustard. Within the broad stripes there are oval dots woven into the fabric.

The dress features three-quarter length sleeves with deep cuffs, a large collar, metal button bodice, a full pleated skirt and neck ties which can either be worn loose or tied under the collar.

Condition

Very good with the following points to note;

  • belt loops but no belt and loops are a little worn
  • wear on a small number of the spots, but that is only seen on close inspection
  • two small areas of white spotting on the skirt, about 10" apart just up from the hem, see photos

Washed, pressed and ready to wear.
