This classic little day dress was made in the 1950's by St Michael.
A close fitting bodice with gathered yoke detail, button front fastening with teeny sage green plastic buttons, a smart collar and slim fitting skirt, it is finished off neatly with the original belt.
Made from, I believe, a wonderfully soft artificial silk, it is cold to the touch, has fabulous drape and is just perfect for the warmer months.
Measurements
The label states that it is for a 36" bust and 38" hip. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 18"

Condition
Good with some minor points to note;
- there is a 4mm hole in the back bodice just down from the collar - because of the type of fabric the dress is made from, darning it will likely make it more visible than it currently is
- the most minor amount of discolouration on the back bodice - the dress has been washed and the discolouration didn't lift
- slight discolouration on the belt
- a cluster of faint marks near the bottom button and a few others scattered over the dress but because of the print, they are only seen on close inspection
