Offered for sale is a pretty little evening hat from the 1930s.
This is such a neat little piece. Navy felt, close fitting, hat which is trimmed with cotton velvet which has then been beaded with tiny faceted metal beads.
Measurements
The hat is designed to fit very snug on your head. It is shown on a 21" head and is a good fit. It is not suitable for any larger than 21".
Condition
It is in good condition. A fabulous, unusual hat, it sadly has a few minor points to note; - some of the metal beads have tarnished but that is only visible on close inspection - the pile on the velvet at the very front has gone, obviously from rubbing against a forehead - very, very minor makeup marks on the inner band - the main issue is that the navy felt at the back is a bit rubbed, see photo
