This is one of the most stunning dresses we have ever had the privilege of owning.
Made in the 1950's and labelled "Anna Ltd, Knightsbridge" it features a close fitting, partly boned, bodice with blue velvet trim across the bust and at the waist - the waist trim is tied into a neat bow. The skirt has a glorious fullness and there are drapes in the back of the gown which are lined with stunning blue satin. The print is vibrant floral in pink, purple, green and blue on an ivory background.
This would be an incredible dress to dance in as the drapes give the gown movement as you spin.
Measurements
It is much too small for my mannequin and so isn't looking as good as it could. It will fit a 30" bust and 25.5" waist
Underarm to waist 7.5"
Top of the zip to the waist seam 7"
Top of the zip to the hem 50"
The drapes are 22.5" at the hem and 45" long
Condition
Very good. It looks to have been very little worn and there are just a few minor points to note;
- some storage odour which will disappear with airing. Before it came to us it had been in storage for many years - it does NOT smell of moth
- there is some minor wear to the inner on the tops of the boned section
- odd stitch marks on the inner - not seen when worn
