This classic piece was made in the 1950's and is a fabulous little black dress to have in your wardrobe.
Labelled 'Marldena Model' the dress is made from artificial silk, with a metal side zip fastening, covered with a layer of lace in a foliate design.
The bodice is close fitting with simple tailoring and seed bead detail around the pretty neckline. The skirt is slim fitting with a kick pleat in the back.
Measurements
This piece is meant to be close fitting and is a wiggle design and there is no stretch in the fabric at all. It will fit up to a 42-35-42 but to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Condition
Good, only points to note are;
- a small repair to the lace on the left hip beside the zip
- the lace lace is covered with fine soutache. Where the threads of soutache have been joined some have frayed a little and you can see the pale piping used under the black thread.
