This piece was made in the 1970's but very much in the style of the 1930's.
Made from soft salmon pink jacquard fabric it has a very close fitting bodice with a hip skimming skirt. It has fabulously fully sleeves and is finished off perfectly with the original belt.
It fastens down the back with a long nylon zip and is shown on a 35" bust mannequin, which shows there is a slight amount of stretch to the fabric, but it is too snug and definitely needs to be worn on smaller.
Measurements
The dress is labelled as a 1970's size 10, which will fit up to a 32-24-34 , however, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Flat waist 12"
Flat hip 17"
Shoulders between sleeves 11.5"
Shoulder to waist 15.5"
Shoulder to hem 58" with no hem allowance

Condition
Structurally very good, no damage to the fabric to note. Has been gently hand washed, pressed and is ready to wear with the following minor points to note;
- there is a dark mark on the belt
- down the front of the dress, on the centre skirt seam, there are a few faint marks - they were much darker before the dress was washed and they have been carefully treated with a stain remover but what remains is unlikely to come out without risking damaging the material - they are really only seen on close inspection, as you can see from the photos
