This pretty little felt posy has been lovingly made from an original 1940's pattern, and all pieces have been cut by hand. There is no glue involved, and each piece is securely sewn together.
I am passionate about the fashions of the '40s and have, over a number of years, built up a vast collection of sewing and knitting magazines from the era. I use some of the patterns found within the magazines to create my little felt corsages.
Measuring approximately 5 inches tall, this beautiful posy of poppies is eye catching and is the perfect way to brighten up your outfit. The stems are wired and the corsage has been made from a wool mix felt and, just as it would have been done in the 1940's, it has a safety pin on the back so you can attach it to your lapel. With the stems being wired, you can adjust the stems and bend the flower heads down or can leave them flat, as shown in the photos.
