Made in the 1940s this is a charming little hat.
Made from straw in a rusty red shade, it is a little tilt topper which is designed to fit on the top of your head which is great because it means it will fit anyone. Trimmed with a rust red grosgrain with a cluster of pears and leaves it is a divine little piece.
There is an elastic which is designed to be worn under your hair to help keep the hat in place. I know it doesn't go under your chin, its the only way the hat would stay on the mannequin head.

Condition
Very good, no breaks in the straw, minor points to note;
- there fruits show some wear
- the wire which the leaves are stuck to are a little rusty in places
- the hat under the grosgrain is very slightly darker than the rest of the hat so the hat must have slightly faded. The fade is even and only see when you move the grosgrain
