This stylish platter hat was made in the late 1940's or early 1950's.
Featuring an oval shaped wired frame it is covered with textured fabric in inky black. On the inner there is a smaller frame which helps to keep the hat in place, although you'll probably want to secure if with a hatpin or add an elastic.
