This smart little hat was made in the 1940's.
Made from straw it has been treated with something that has made it very hard and crisp, but on the plus side it means it keeps the fabulous shape without flopping.
A neat design it is meant to sit on the top of your head and tilted to some side. It has a neat crown and sweeping brim and is trimmed with a band of grosgrain which has a bronze coloured edge.
