This beautiful hat was made in the late 1930's or early 1940's and is labelled New York Creations.

Made from midnight blue lacquered straw it is designed to sit tilted to the right side of your head and the back of the piece hugs the back of your head. It has a slightly upturned brim and is trimmed with a band of net, which is tied into a bow at the back, and has two large fabric flowers on the right side in cream and rust.

A gorgeous piece and the perfect finishing touch to your outfit.

Condition
Very good. Only minor points to note;

  • slight discolouration on the inner grosgrain
  • there are some small breaks in the net but because it is clustered on the top of the hat rather than worn over the face they aren't seen unless you're looking for them
  • some light wear to the flowers
