This pretty knit has been entirely hand knitted from an original 1940's wartime pattern.
The pattern description states 'Arduous on duty spells call for warm, comfy garments. Knitteds are quite the best, for they are easy to put on, easy to wear and easy to look at'. The hand-drawn image on the pattern shows a lady in the knit manning the A.R.P telephone desk.
A charming knit made of classic lines, knitted in stocking stitch with front and back panels of rib, it has ribbed sleeves and a neat little rib collar. It fastens down the back with three original 1940's glass buttons.
The jumper has been knitted in Cascade 220 fingering which is a wonderfully fine pure wool and the shade is called Turtle Green.
It is an authentic reproduction of an original 1940's knit.
