This classic belted day dress was made in the 1940's and is in a deep shade of burgundy crepe.
With a cross-over neckline, which fastens with two poppers, it has a twisted waist insert with shirring underneath. It has a popper placket and a tie back belt to cinch in the waist and the hem and sleeves are trimmed with velvet ribbon.
Measurements
The dress will best fit up to a 38-30-40 but can cinch smaller and to ensure it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own. Note the shoulders are narrow.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- there are some very faint marks on the back, which are only seen in certain lights
- 4 scuffs on the right skirt, near the side seam
- 3 pinhead faint white marks on the bodice and 1 on the skirt
- very slight discolouration on the front crossover
- some of the shirring on the skirt, below the waist, is missing and there is a small stress to the fabric 1mmx3mm
