This beautiful dress was made in the 1940's and is labelled 'American Style Garment'.
Made from inky black crepe, which has fabulous drape, the bodice is blouson fitting with an asymmetrical button line. Featuring long sleeves with popper fastening it has shirring on either side of the waistline. The skirt is smooth fitting and has a single pocket with sequin embellishment and a pleated section on the left hip.
A classic piece which is much better in person than the photographs show.
