This pretty knit set was made in the 1950's by Orlon.
It is pure acrylic which makes it perfect for people who can't wear wool and is easier to care for.
The set comprises of a close fitting skirt, with an elasticated waist, and a button front cardigan which features bracelet length sleeves, fastens with 8 lucite buttons, has soutache and beading detail and is finished off perfectly with a neat little collar.
A classic piece from the era.
