This pretty knit set was made in the 1950's and is labelled 'Original Tobanna Knit Fashions'.
Made from pure wool in soft pink it has ivory chenille accent detail on the collar and down the front. The skirt is close fitting, done in rib stitch and has an elasticated waist. The cardigan has three-quarter length sleeves, fastens with paste studded metal buttons and has a neat collar. The belt has a covered buckle.
A classic piece from the era.

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- 2 small darns in the back of the cardigan
- 6 small darns in the skirt
- 8 faint marks in the back skirt at knee level
- very slight colour variation between the skirt and the cardigan with the skirt being paler - I'm assuming the skirt may have been washed more
