Made in the 1930's or early 1940's, this charming knitted bed cape is perfect for keeping the chill off.
Although originally designed to be worn as nightwear, there is no reason it couldn't be worn over a sleeveless dress to keep the chill off.
Hand knitted in cream wool with a pretty design of stripes and carried stitches, it fastens at the neck with a little hook and then has wide ties that can be tied in the front, each tie measures 14" long.
