This piece was made in the 1940's or 1950's.
Made from inky black satin it is fully lined with cotton and has lace cup detail. It is boned and fastens with hooks and eyes. There are two rows of hooks which means you have 1/2" wiggle room between the sizes. Finished off with metal tipped garter straps.
Please note the corset is too small for the mannequin and so doesn't fasten and doesn't look as good as it will when it is actually on someone the right size for it.
Measurements
The corset will fit a 32" bust and 23.5"-24" waist as it has two rows of fixings.
Top of bust point to hem 22.5"
Middle of bust to hem 17.5"
Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- the one of the strips of boning has come out at the top and is showing through
- there is a small white mark on the inner, feels like paper so am assuming a label
- there is tarnish/verdigris on every hook and eye
