This pretty scarf was made in the 1940's and is labelled Julius Garfinckel & Co Washington.
Made from fabulously soft pure silk it has a blue border which surrounds an intricate design worked in pink, yellow, black and pale blue. Although a little as is due to age, it would originally have been a high quality piece with hand rolled edges.
The perfect finishing touch to your outfit, but would also make a great headscarf.
Please note the colour is truest in the first photograph with the scarf on a mannequin.
