This beautiful piece was made in the 1950's and is labelled 'Desert Suedes California'.
Made from wonderfully soft suede in a warm tan shade, it has great pointed fringe detail across the front and back yokes as well as bands of fringing down the sleeves, around the hem and on the pockets.
Fully lined, it fastens with leather buttons which have metal decoration.
Measurements
This piece is shown on a 35" bust mannequin and it fits, but you would find it a little restrictive so it is best for up to a 34" bust. However, to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own and note all measurements have been taken on the outside of the piece;
Flat bust 17.5"
Flat waist 15.5"
Underarm sleeve length 15"
Back neck to hem 24.5"
Shoulders between sleeves 16"
Condition
Good with some points to note;
- the top button is missing - this isn't noticeable if you choose to wear the jacket as shown in the photos
- there are some minor marks and spots, as happens with suede, and it has been stored folded and there is a button imprint on one section
- verdigris on the metal button edge
