This is an original 1950's hand-knitted jumper, not a modern reproduction.
Made from pure wool in a gorgeous spring green it has a deep welt and smooth knitted body. It features dolman sleeves with little turn back cuffs and has a deep neck opening, which fastens with metal buttons. Finished off perfectly with a little collar it is a fabulous piece of mid century knitwear.
Measurements
The knit will fit up to a 34" bust but to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own. Note the waist does not have a lot of stretch so you need to be petite to fit this;
Bust up to 32" 34"
Waist 11" stretching to 12.5"
Shoulders up to 16"
Underarm sleeve length 10.5"
Underarm to waist 10"
Shoulder to hem 18"
Condition
Good, considering the age of the piece, with the following points to note;
- there is an area of discolouration on the front left welt - I have soaked the knit and the mark lessened but didn't come out completely
- there are a number of darns, some executed more expertly than others so please look at the photos carefully to make sure that you're happy with the condition of the piece. Darns to note - 6 in the front, 2 in the back, some of the top edge of the back collar and 4 in the welt.
