This is a really beautiful smock, in such a wonderfully vibrant print.

Made in the 1930's, it is made from crisp white cotton with a bright floral print in blue, green, red and yellow.

It features long sleeves with button cuffs, fastens with 4 wide spaced apart buttons and has a patch pocket.

Originally designed to be worn over your clothes, to protect them while doing chores, it could easily be adapted to be worn out for everyday wear. It could be shortened and adapted to become a more conventional length blouse.

However you decide to style it, it is far too pretty to only be used for chores!

 

Measurements

Smocks, be design, are very loose fitting and have no shaping in the main body. This will fit a variety of bust sizes but the best indication as to whether this will work for you will be the shoulders. It isn't meant to be close fitting so please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;

Flat bust 21"

Shoulders between sleeves 13"

Condition

Beautiful. Only point to note is a very faint mark between the 2nd and 3rd buttons.
