This piece was made in the 1950's.
A wired frame, which helps to keep the hat in place, the hat is made from stiffened fabric and is covered with black cotton velvet. It has a seamed satin trim around the edge of the piece and is finished off neatly with a little paste trimmed button.
Great for day or evening wear.

Good with just one minor point to note - there is 2mm of the wire frame poking through the edge - see photo - you could snip it off with pliers but it isn't really noticeable, I only found it because it is a little sharp.
