This beautiful chore dress was made in the 1940's and is labelled 'Ritchwear Reg'd'.
Made from thick cotton, which feels a lot like curtain fabric, it has an off-white base with a floral print in broad stripes.
It is a chore dress and is designed to be worn over your dress to keep it clean while doing housework. However, it is much too pretty to be confined to just the home and would make a perfect summer dress.
It has a close fitting bodice and a v-neck. The skirt is of medium fullness and has two large patch pockets. It is a button through design and fastens with pretty green buttons.
