This utterly stunning dress was made in the 1940's and is labelled Heiress.
Made from wool crepe in a slate grey with a slight green hue, it features a pleated bodice which falls into a curved waist insert and is joined to a beautiful skirt which has 4 bands of neat darts. It has three-quarter length sleeves with turn back cuffs featuring a beaded floral decoration.
It is belted, has a hook fastening at the crossover on the bodice and is finished off perfectly with floral beading work in seed and bugle beads.
