This piece was made in the 1940's and is a home-sewn piece.
Made from fabric in an RAF blue, it has a band of lace on the centre panel for added detail. Fastening with a single popper it is a neat little piece.
Measurements
Width along the top 10"
Height 6"
Condition
Fair. It doesn't appear to have been made to the highest standard and there are some wobbly seams and not the neatest work. It is worn and has some fade and the popper has discolouration around it. The fabric they have used to stiffen it a little is poking through some of the outer fabric - that is the white spotting you can see in the photos but it isn't damage, its the inner poking through. Some marks on the inner. Perfect for a re-enactor.
