This vibrant beach cover up was made in the 1950's.
A very simply made piece, which looks to have been made from an actual towel rather than a fabric length features a neat bound neckline and is a tabard design which is open down both sides. It has an elasticated bound waistband on the inner which cinches in the waist and there are ties either side to stop the piece from gaping.
The print is fabulous and features lots of tourist destinations and postcards.
Perfect for the beach or poolside this summer.
Measurements
Due to the very open design it will easily fit up to a 42" bust but can also cinch smaller. The fabric is 22.5" wide from seam to seam and is 39" long from shoulder to hem.
Condition
Very good. Shows minor wear and one point to note;
- the side ties were much lower at some point and someone has cut them off and moved them higher - they have left the stump of the original tie in place
