This beautiful dress was made in the 1940's and is labelled 'Ellen Kaye Original'.
Made from inky black crepe - which has a small amount of stretch - it is the perfect piece for an evening out.
A close fitting bodice with full puff sleeves, there are big shoulder pads which help the sleeves keep their shape. The yoke is embellished with sequins in a floral design in pink and green.

Condition
Good with some minor points to note;
- someone has added an additional 2" length to the skirt - it has been done well and appears to be a history addition to the dress
- there is minor colour loss to some of the sequins
- a few single thread plucks - 3 on the bodice front and 4 in the skirt
- the zip is a replacement but that is a good thing as someone has added a much longer zip that it would have originally had
