This stunning dress is a classic piece from the late 1930's or early 940's.
Made from midnight blue crepe it has long sleeves with double button cuffs and fabulously puffed sleeve heads. The bodice has a slim fitting waist with a wide waist insert and the bodice is finely gathered with the neckline trimmed with velvet. The skirt has a wonderful swish to it as you walk and is trimmed with three lines of thin velvet. There is a metal zip at the back neck and a popper placket on the left side. Finished off perfectly with beautiful floral soutache in off-white.

The dress will best fit a 35-27-38 but to ensure that it will fit you properly, please compare the measurements below to a similar piece you already own;
Flat bust 17" in the back but a lot fuller in the front so will fit up to a 35" bust

Condition
Good with the following points to note;
- there is light iron shine on the skirt which is more visible in some lights that others
- around the neckline there are some small areas of discolouration
- very slight discolouration on the soutache - not it has been washed and is so much cleaner than when I acquired it but I don't think any more of the staining will life
- there is some overall colour change, but this is only really seen when you fold the dress up and compare the skirt to the bodice - see final photo
Even though it isn't perfect, it is an absolutely gorgeous piece.
